I love the roan color, it changes so much back and forth, depending on the season (time of the year) and the climate that has been that year. It is dark in the wintertime, white in spring and fall, and whitish in the summer time. Hersing is black roan pinto, so her black spots come and go every year. Hersing is born in 2006, and is pregnant now for a 2013 foal (pregnant with Sjóður from Kirkjubæ, evaluated with 8.60 when he was 5 years old).
