Farm visit with either horse show, or lunch, on an authentic family run Icelandic horse farm.

TOUR OPERATORS that want to give their groups a unique experience, we have the Farm visits.

  • Travel agencies love the farm visits for their bigger groups.
  • Great for bus groups, for example 40 tourists or more, and fits well for cruiser groups (we can not offer pick-up).

All the farm visits have these experiences:

  • Getting to know the amazing Icelandic horses close up.
  • Meet the locals in Iceland, family members at Langhus farm, and their staff (that also live in our home on the farm).
  • Visit an authentic Icelandic farm.
  • Langhus farm is a fully working horse farm, that has been in the family for 5 generations.  The name of the farm is at least 800 years old, and the family traces their ancestry back to the first settlers coming to Iceland in year 874.  We have deep roots.  It has always been a horse farm.
  • The farm visit is a fun personal experience for everyone. It is great for all ages and abilities.  Both sporty people, disabled people, and every ability in between.
  • This is fun all year round.
  • The full visit is 1-1 1/2 hour, or whatever time length that fits for your group.  We are flexible.
  • It’s a great time for photographing horses, and taking selfies with horses and the gorgeous panorama picture rural nature background here.
  • Those that want to can experience riding in our riding hall (no outdoors riding included).
  • Our purebred friendly Icelandic sheepdogs Pila and Dama also love dog-loving guests.  This small, friendly and gentle breed is Iceland’s native dog breed, their ancestors being imported by our viking ancestors a milennium ago.
  • This is a popular option if you have a mixed group where some want to have a fun experience without riding. but some people also want to experience riding (in a riding hall) the special Icelandic horse.
  • Everyone will have a chance to simply sit on a horse that is standing still outdoors with nature background, and that way get a photo of themselves on horseback.
  • This is a super chance to learn, to ask the questions you have about Iceland, and we strive to make this a personal experience for our guests.  We love to share, whether it’s Iceland, the farm animals, farming in Iceland, history, culture, nature, whatever comes to mind.
  • If the guests have language difficulties, the animals charm and love the visitors anyway.  Our intros/fun speeches also work great with your guide as a translator.
  • Our stables and lounge is easily accessible so this also fits well for f.ex. elderly people and is also wheel chair accessible.
  • The farm visits are always a private tour for your group.
  • Complementary tea and coffee for everyone.
  • Designed for groups of 40 people or more.
  • Free for the guide and driver.
